Dan Bradshaw

I was born in 1922 in Omar, West Virginia and lived in El Cajon, CA since 1930. After High School I worked at the Consolidated Airplane Factory. I went into the Navy in March 1943 and was sent to Boot Camp in San Diego, California.

I went aboard the Nassau in June 1943 in the capacity of Quartermaster. When we went into a new time zone I had the responsibility of setting the new time on all the clocks on the ship...Lots of clocks!  I had other jobs, one other being that I kept the log on watch on the bridge. My first cruise was to Australia.

I was discharged at Alameda, California in January 1946. I was married twice, and am now single. I had one boy and one girl; and five grandchildren.

I still work every Saturday and Sunday at Kobey Swap meet. It keeps me young!
