Edmund J. Koszut

I was born on October II, 1924 in Chicago, Illinois. I was drafted into the U.S. Navy in May 1943, and spent Boot Camp at Great Lakes. I went aboard the U.S.S. Nassau in June 1943. I was in the Division VI Flight Deck. My duties were to spot planes, open wings for take off and for landings, and was put on Hanger Deck. I left the Nassau in 1946 and went to Litchfield, Arizona. I was discharged from the Navy on March 8, 1946 at Great Lakes, Illinois.

I married Kathryn Buchner on June 17, 1961 in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. We have two children, Joseph Koszut and Judi Patzelt. We have three granddaughters: Jessica, Michelle and Stephanie Patzelt.
