Reunion 1989

Our reunion for 1989 was held in New Orleans at the Clarion Hotel with 80 in attendance. We had a city tour on September 14th; a half-day plantation tour on September 15th; and a dinner jazz cruise on the evening of September 15th. Red McQuire took pictures of all the shipmates by themselves, as well as a picture of the shipmates with their wives.
Shipmates attending our third reunion were Walter Alerich, Frank Bahl. J.P. Binion, John Brito, Tony Calleo, Walt Cebula, Joe Coe, Jim Creedon, Frank Crow, Jero Dlleva, John Duncan, Dolphus Fortier, Jim Hartzheim,Tom Hennessy, Harold Hurst, Blair Ingraham, Charlie Jordan, Ed Kennedy, Ralph Kleinspehn, Earl Lamb, Pat Liebert, Roy Mason, Gene McFerren, "Red" McGuire, Dick Musson, Les Novotny, Paul Oliver, Jim Rappenecker, Buck Robinson, Rich Rose, Charles Ross, Bob Sandefur, Stan Samara, lrvin Thomas, Paul Walker, Jim Whittier, Dick Wilson, Stan Zabinski, Wilbur Zink, and their wives.

We also had a Navy band and a Color Guard which really made the reunion complete.

At the Invocation, the Nassau Chaplain, Wilbur Zink remembered those who had passed on since our last reunion. They were George Brinkman, Gordon Laskie, Haskell Turk and Walter Neyer.
